My New Satellite Navigator

My Nokia 6110 Navigator

Abigail and I went to the shops earlier today, I was supposed to buy a $30 recharge for my Optus prepaid but because of excessive window shopping and browsing we end up signing a cap plan from 3 mobile. I think we had a good deal, the nokia 6110 navigator seems to be a nice phone. The navigator is cool, we compared it head to head with Heidi's TomTom and we (Ine and I) both agreed that the 6110 is better.

Now all I need is a car so I can use it!

Arroyos Get Committee Chairmanships In The Lower House

As expected, two of GMA's kin got juicy positions as committee chairmen in the House of Representatives. They got these committees as "payment" for supporting the most traditional politician in the Philippines as Speaker of the House of Representatives. The congressman from Pangasinan was again elected as House Speaker for a Guiness Book Record of 5x!

Presidential son and Pampanga representative Mikey (mouse) Arroyo got the Committee on Energy, while his uncle, the self confessed owner of the "Jose Pidal accounts," Congressman Iggy Arroyo got the natural Resources Committee.

I thought "utang na loob" cannot be paid by anything... I guess I was wrong. What else is new in our country??? Im glad I left. Next news please!

What's Inside The PC

The Japanese have finally uncovered a mystery. How does the small arrow on your computer monitor work when we move the mouse? Haven't you ever wondered? Now, through the miracle of high technology, we can see how it is done. With the aid of a screen magnifying lens, the mechanism becomes apparent. Click on the link below and you will find out. The image may take a minute or two to download and when it appears, slowly move your mouse over the light gray circle and you will see how the magic works. Don't forget to try the left click button.

Insomiac

Its almost 5am here in Westmead, I am still up and awake, I can't sleep again for the nth time. I am just staring at my nanay watching her sleep. She was also deprived of sleep the other night because of excessive coughing. Im glad she is better now.

I can't think of what to do so I just booted Heidi's notebook and decided to write anything in my blog...

Is sleep deprivation really linked to overweight and obesity??? I heard of such correlation earlier in the 6pm news... I think its hormonal or something. Well, if thats the case, I think I found the cause why I am overweight.

Makatulog na nga at baka maging tabachoy na ako ng husto... Good morning!

GMA's SONA Cheered!

The state of the nation address of Philippine president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo received 103 rounds of applause and standing ovation from who else but her "ass-licking" pro administration congressmen! Read the phooey article here!

Beautiful

She Is Sick

I haven't blogged for quite a while, my mother was sick and I had to take care of her. Her blood pressure was shooting up. I was afraid she sufffered another stroke, GOD forbid. I cannot understand why her blood pressure was going up. Its very hard to diagnose if my hands are tied and I cannot practice my profession here. I am just relying on my instincts.

Good thing she is starting to improve now. Her BP is more or less stable and normal now. She also had cough and colds but without fever, probably from the very cold weather last week. I hope its not Pneumonia. I worry a lot when my mother is sick... it takes out the "doctor" in me. I really cannot help it.

Made Me Laugh By Myself!

Curious...

Why do japanese almost always flash the "peace man" sign when their pictures are being taken???

Bakit nga ba???

Worst Than Animals

I was reading the headlines from Inquirer.net, my source of news from the Philippines, and I can't help but react to the recent killings in Basilan, Mindanao where 14 Philippine Marines soldiers were killed and 10 of whom where "mutilated."

The killings were done by muslim extremists or shall I call muslim bandits called ABU F&*^@!G SAYYAF! I think religion is out of the question here... There is no F!#*%#*G JIHAD involved here! Those were merely acts of barbarism and cowardice!

What kind of lowly form of animals can do such things... I hope swift justice can be done here... Spray the place where these goons are hiding with PIG'S blood! If caught, force them to eat raw pork! These harsh punishments are not enough for these bloody bastards!

Happy Birthday!

This wine is forty years old. It certainly doesn't show its age.
Latin: Hoc vinum Falernum annorum quadragenta est. Bene aetatem fert.
- Cicero

This is the day that will mark the beginning of my new life... Im 40, at last! I must be positive... Trash all the negative vibes! Time to start a whole new chapter of my life. Time to live a life anew. I know I can do this...

Living My Life Anew

6 days from now I will be celebrating my 40th birthday. Whew! That was fast… I didn’t know I was that old already. I can’t believe I already lived more than half of my life. But where am I right now? What have I done and achieved these past 40 years? Those questions were haunting me every time I go to sleep at night… sad isn’t it. I was a victim of circumstances and I can’t do anything about it.

For those who know me well, I hope they understand my predicament. I hope that for you, I became productive and I lived my past 40 years well…

Life begins at 40, most of them say. Now that I am in Australia right now, I promise to strive hard and make up for loss grounds, but I will continue to do what I am doing for the past 11 years now. Care for my mother. I hope everything will turn out good here.

Join me in my prayers…

A Disgrace To The Profession

The recent brouhaha involving doctors in suspected terror attacks in London is very saddening indeed especially to us doctors. Physicians like me take pride and dignity towards our noble profession. Doctors are supposed to be a different breed apart from the rest. We are supposed to prolong life, treat, give comfort and care for the sick. NOT to take away lives by banging a jeep on fire in an airport entrance.

You are a DISGRACE to the profession and a DISGRACE to the human race! Are you human at all? Animals! Barbarians! Using your medical degree to sow terror makes me and perhaps the whole world sick! I hope your asses rot in jail!

PEACE!

Federer Thru To The 2007 Wimbledon Quarterfinals

Without a sweat, Roger Federer advanced to the quarterfinals of the Wimbledon Championship. His supposed to be opponent, Germany's Tommy Haas, pulled out from the tournament because of injuries. Federer moved a step closer to his 5th successive Wimbledon Championship.

He will play the winner of the Juan Carlos Ferrero/Janko Tipsarevic match. Right now games are again delayed by rains.

Nicole Vaidisova is leading Mauresmo by a set. I hope Vaidisova wins this one.

Glad To Be With Them

At last, the good LORD granted my long time wish, to be with my mother here in Sydney. God knows how much I really missed her when I was in Malolos. I'm happy to see my father and my siblings all in good health. A bonus of course is I get to play with my niece and nephews again! They have grown so quickly.

They are my driving force here in my new found niche and I hope with their support and help, I can easily adjust and assimilate in this society. Right now I am just enjoying every minute with my nanay.
