A Disgrace To The Profession
The recent brouhaha involving doctors in suspected terror attacks in London is very saddening indeed especially to us doctors. Physicians like me take pride and dignity towards our noble profession. Doctors are supposed to be a different breed apart from the rest. We are supposed to prolong life, treat, give comfort and care for the sick. NOT to take away lives by banging a jeep on fire in an airport entrance.
You are a DISGRACE to the profession and a DISGRACE to the human race! Are you human at all? Animals! Barbarians! Using your medical degree to sow terror makes me and perhaps the whole world sick! I hope your asses rot in jail!

Ako I would not jump in the conclusion right away. Its an on going investigation. Pero yung Indian OB who let his teenage son do a caesarean section, gross VIOLATION na talaga ng MEDICAL ETHICS. Sabi nga ng representative ng Indian Medical Association "prima facie" evidence na yung video na pinadala niya for all of them to see.

well, nothing is new as far as that news is concerned... ganun pa rin naman, you still has to pass the mcq and orals given by the australian medical council (amc).
problem nga ngayon may mga nasangkot na doctors trained overseas dun sa terrorist attempt sa london kay medyo higpit na naman...
Hey, I just watched the debate between Michael Moore (director of the movie Sicko) and Dr. Sanjay Gupta (senior Health consultant ng CNN)on you tube. Reminds me of Medical Ground Rounds. Nawala na sa akin ng credibility si Dr. Gupta. The statistics used by Michael Moore ay galing mismo sa Bush Administration, and sabi ni Gupta PROJECTED statistics lang daw yun. Kahit na projected statistics lang yung, eh VALID statistics din yun, and that's the LATEST available data. Yung data na sinasabi ni Gupta eh 2004 pa. At yung statistics na tinitira ni Gupta eh gawa din ng mga doctor ( epidemiologists) na experts to that field. Eh si Gupta neuro surgeon. I've heard na tinalo na ng Fox News ang CNN sa tv ratings, but this debate between Moore and Gupta is an eye opener for me at mukha nga talagang tagilid ang CNN with their facts.To me its a MAJOR BLOW to CNN.
I watched it again on you tube. LOL. Unethical the way Gupta lambasted the statitics used by Michael Moore na galing MISMO sa Bush Administration. If you dont believe what the experts said, the only way to refute that is to do a research on your own,make your own LATEST statistics, not statistics na 2004 pa. Naalala ko tuloy the time na nag Medical Ground Rounds (MGR) ako, sabi ba naman ni Dr. Puentespina, TRASH DAW YUNG DATA ko, in front of everybody, including the consultants and the entire 3rd year students. Ang sabi ko " But doctor, I got that data from Harrison's ". Natahimik lahat. Narinig ko si Dra. Lee (Pulmo consultant) ang sabi ba naman " Bakit ang lahat ba ng sinasabi ni Harrison, paniniwalaan mo". Nagtimpi na lang talaga ako. Out of respect na lang. Pero sa loob-loob ko, Bible ng Internal Medicine ang Harrison tapos hindi ko paniniwalaan. Ang pakunsuelo de bobo ko na lang, may lumapit sa akin na clerk, tapos ang sabi " Doc, gusto namin kapag kayo ang nage-MGR". Napansin ko nga kapag ako ang nage-MGR, lahat nakikinig. Di tulad ng estudyante tayo, halos walang nakikinig sa MGR.
Malakas ang kutob ko na laughing stock ng buong american medical community si Gupta. First time ko na makakita na BLOCK ANG COMMENTS sa you tube. Yung debate between Michael Moore and Gupta, hindi puwedeng mag-comment. Sa common tao, it was just an ordinary debate, but to the medical community, IT'S AN OUTRAGE ! You dont cross the line what the medical experts are saying unless, like I said, you do your own research and give the LATEST STATISTICS. The mere fact na neuro surgeon siya doon pa lang talo na siya. Hindi dapat siya nakikialam sa field na hindi naman siya bihasa.
I'm telling you man, something is brewing . Very unlikely na mag-BLOCK ang you tube ng comments. Palagay may legal matters na involved. Yung mga bad words nga ok lang sa you tube comments. Eto, debate lang.
If you go to CNN Health news, you can see Gupta's Blog. Very sublime, BUTATA talaga siya ni Michael Moore. Kung meron mang na miss na point siya sa debate, sana na vindicate na niya ang sarili niya sa blog niya. But there is nothing new. Nandodoon na naman ang error of transcription niya na BLAH BLAH BLAH. Hindi uubra ang diskarte na ganyan sa MGR, he should throw HARD PUNCHES ika nga, lalo na, he is trying to disprove the statistics sa movie na Sicko. Im being objective here, I'm not a Michael Moore fan or galit sa CNN. Eye opener lang yung debate, CNN is CNN right, kumbaga formidable institution na.
